Job Summary:
We are seeking an individual for the position of Economist, a specialist cadre role on a contractual basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth economic and statistical analyses, utilizing their expertise in econometric modeling, data interpretation, and forecasting.
- Job Type: Contractual
- Number of Vacancies: 2 (2 Unreserved, including 1 horizontal vacancy for PwBD-VI)
- Salary: Up to Rs. 18.00 Lakhs per annum (CTC)
- Job Location: Mumbai, India (Place of Posting is indicative and the selected candidates may be Posted anywhere in India at the sole discretion of the Bank)
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
- Master's degree in Economics / Econometrics / Statistics / Applied Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Mathematical Economics / Financial Economics with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university.
- PhD in Economics / Banking / Finance / Statistics / Mathematics preferred.
Age Limit (as of 01/06/2024):
- Maximum age for Unreserved category: 28 years
- Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines
Experience:
- Prior work experience is not mandatory.
- However, skills like strong communication, knowledge of statistical packages (STATA, SAS, E-views, R), experience with Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Big Data, and familiarity with databases like Bloomberg, Reuters, CEIC are highly desired.
