Job Description
West Central Railway is inviting applications for the engagement of Apprentices for training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in various trades at Units/Workshops. This is a centralised notification for engaging Apprentices across West Central Railway Divisions/Units. The selection process will be based on merit, and the division/unit will engage the apprentices.

Eligibility Details
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must have passed 10th class examination with minimum 50% marks for all trades except Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology).
- Candidates for Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology) must have passed 12th class examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
- Candidates should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Experience
No experience is required for this apprenticeship program.

Application Deadline
The online application window opens on 05/08/2024 and closes on 04/09/2024 at 23:59 hrs.
How to Apply
- Candidates can apply online through the West Central Railway website: https://www.wcr.indianrailways.gov.in/
- Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 141/-. The fee can be paid online.
- Candidates need to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and required certificates (10th/12th mark sheets, caste certificate, PwBD certificate, ITI certificate, etc.).
Important Conditions
- Candidates must have completed 15 years of age as on 05/08/2024 and should not have completed 24 years of age as on the cut-off date of Notification. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 03 years in case of OBC candidates, and 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC) for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBDs).
- Candidates should submit a disability certificate issued by a competent authority (i.e. Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or State Government). If the vacancy earmarked/reserved for PwBD is not being filled due to non-availability of eligible PwBD candidates, it will be filled by eligible non-PwBD candidates as per merit.
Mode of Selection
- Selection will be based on the merit list prepared based on the average marks obtained in 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) plus ITI/Trade marks.
- The merit list will be prepared trade-wise, division/unit-wise, and community-wise.
- Candidates will be called for document verification by the concerned division/unit as per the merit list. Once the candidate is found suitable in all respect, the concerned division/unit will engage the candidates.
