Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete inter-state transmission system.
POWERGRID operates around 1,77,900 Km of Transmission Lines along with 278 Sub-stations (as on 31st July 2024) and wheels about 75% of total power generated in the country through its transmission networks. POWERGRID also owns & operates around approximately 50,000 Km of transmission networks in foreign countries and is also contributing to the transmission of sub-transmission with its strong in-house expertise in various facets of the Transmission, Sub-India.

- Reservation/ Concession to candidates belonging to different categories shall be as per Government of India directives.
- Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall only be eligible for the benefits of reservation for PwBD category. Persons suffering from disability in the PwBD category are required to upload their Disability certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India.
- Relaxation in marks in essential qualification for SC candidates is relaxed to 45%.
- Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
- OBC (NCL) - 3 years
- SC - 5 years
- PwBD - 10 years over and above category relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots - As per Govt. of India directives.
- Reservation/ Relaxation/ Concession to candidates belonging to different categories shall be as per Government of India directives.

- Candidates are advised to take a printout of the submitted online application, same is required at the time of Document Verification and note down the user ID and password generated at the time of online registration.

Accordingly, it is the responsibility of candidate to satisfy that he / she meets the eligibility criteria (as mentioned in this advertisement) fully before applying, to properly fill the application and provide necessary documents asked for. - Essential qualification should be recognized in India and from a recognized Institution or University.
- Date of issuance of final mark sheet shall be taken as the date of acquiring qualification.
- Wherever CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade in the degree/ diploma is awarded, its equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by University/ Institute.
- In case the degree/ marks obtained by the candidate in a bachelor's degree shall be calculated based on marks obtained/ CGPA percentage of marks awarded based on the procedure certified obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/ CGPA followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree/ institution where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
- In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into percentage of marks, the candidate shall convert their CGPA into percentage of marks by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100/the candidate's CGPA by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
- Marks in Essential Qualification will not be rounded off for deciding the recruitment/ selection process.
- Management reserves the right to cancel / restrict/ enlarge/ modify/ alter eligibility of any candidate therefor, if the need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.
- Candidates working in Govt./ PSU are required to produce "No Objection Certificate" at the time of interview. In case he/she is not providing it by the respective organization, the candidate will not be considered for the post stated that if selected for appointment in POWERGRID on terms acceptable to him/her.
- Candidates will not be considered for the benefits of carry forward of leave gratuity etc. and he/she will be able to produce a “No Objection Certificate” and secure due release from his/her present organization within the stipulated notice period.
- Candidates claiming reservation under OBC (NCL) should belong to the category as on last date of online submission of application and must possess valid OBC (NCL) Certificate (as described at Sl No. 5(b) of Page 3) as on the closing date of submission of online application to POWERGRID.
- All computations of age and qualification details shall be taken as on the date of online application.

- Management reserves the right to raise or lower the qualifying standards in any stage of the selection process depending on availability of sufficient number of candidates.

Mode of Selection
The selection process shall consist of CLAT – 2025 (for admission to post graduation) of eligible candidates, Document Verification, Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion, Personal Interview & Pre-Employment Medical Examination.
