Job Description
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in administrative, teaching, and research, coupled with strong leadership skills.

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD degree along with a first-class or equivalent Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Geology. A strong academic record is essential.
Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Professor in a reputable educational institute and should have guided PhD students. Additionally, they must have at least 5 years of administrative experience and leadership qualities to lead an Institute of National Importance.

Important Conditions
- The appointment will be made on a contract basis for a period of five years or till the candidate superannuates, whichever is earlier.
- The retirement age for this position is 70 years.
- The applicant's age should preferably be less than 60 years on the last date of receipt of the application.
Mode of Selection
The Director will be appointed after obtaining approval from the Competent Authority. The selection process involves a Search Committee that will review applications and make recommendations. The final appointment will be based on the recommendations of the Search Committee.
