Tenure: A College Principal shall be appointed for a period of five years, extendable for another term of five years based on performance assessment by a committee appointed by the University.
Eligibility Details
The qualifications for the appointment of Principal (OTHER THAN EDUCATION, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND MEDICAL COLLEGE) are in accordance with the UGC regulations and subsequent amendments adopted by the University of Delhi (as per Annexure-III):
- Qualification: Ph.D. Degree.
- Experience: Professor/Associate Professor with a total service/ experience of at least fifteen years of teaching/research in universities, Colleges, and other institutions of higher education.
- Research Score: A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Annexure V.
- Publications: A minimum of 10 research publications in UGC Care List and SCOPUS Publications.
The time taken to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be counted as teaching/research experience, unless active service was performed simultaneously without leave.
Application Details

Application Fee: Rs. 2000/-. Fees paid are non-refundable under any circumstances. However, no fee shall be charged for applicants who applied for the same post in the preceding advertisement, provided interview was not conducted and proof is submitted.
Required Documents (to be uploaded/presented): The application process is based on self-certification of uploaded documents. Shortlisted candidates called for interview must bring:
- All testimonials/certificates in original along with valid photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter Id/Driving License/Passport).
- A set of self-attested photocopy of certificates/testimonials.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate from the parent department/organization must be uploaded while applying.

Important Conditions

Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on merit determined by a Screening Committee which will score applicants based on prescribed criteria (including a mandatory 110 Research Score). A panel of names recommended by a Selection Committee will be forwarded to the Governing Body for final appointment.
