Pay Scale: Senior Resident: Pay Level – 11 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (Pre-Revised PB – 3, entry pay of ₹67,700/- Per Month + NPA + usual allowances admissible under rules). NPA is applicable for Medical Candidates only.
Eligibility Details
For Senior Residents (Medical Candidates):
- A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (with specified conditions fulfilled for Part II).
- Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
- A postgraduate degree i.e., MD/MS/DNB/MDS as per MCI rule in the specialty concerned from a recognized University/ Institute.
For Non-Medical Candidates (Departments: Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology etc.):
- Essential Eligibility: Master's degree (regular course UGC recognized / equivalent) viz. M.Sc. in the concerned discipline / subject.
- Additional Qualification: Ph.D. in the concerned discipline/ subject of an Indian University/ Institute or its equivalent Ph.D. degree from a foreign University recognized by the UGC.
Age Limit:
- Maximum Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 20 November 2025.
- Age relaxation is permissible beyond the upper age limit as follows: SC/ST Candidates (05 years), OBC Candidates (03 years), Persons with Disabilities (10 years).

Important Conditions

Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on bio-data and subsequent interview. A Search cum Selection Committee may short-list candidates based on bio-data for interview. If a large number of applications are received, a Screening Test (CBT or Offline) may be conducted for short-listing candidates.
