Job Summary
The Director, WIHG, invites applications for the recruitment of Research Associates (RA) on a purely temporary/contractual tenured basis. Interested candidates must align their expertise with the following areas of Himalayan Geosciences.

Details of Position
The positions are purely temporary/contractual. Selected candidates will draw their fellowship as per DST guidelines.
The research aspects for which applications are invited include:
- Paleoclimatology, Tree-ring analysis, Dendroclimatology
- Mineralogy, Fluid Inclusion, Mantle Petrology, Subduction & Collisional Geodynamics.
- Seismotectonics, Interior of the Earth
- Low-temperature Thermochronology, Thermo-kinematic Modelling, U-Pb Geochronology of zircon
- Vertebrate paleontology and Biostratigraphy
Eligibility Details
Candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Education: 1st class in M.Sc., M.Tech or M.Sc. (Tech) in or any allied field of Geoscience suiting to the WIHG's research domain.
- Research Output: Must have submitted their Ph.D thesis OR have been awarded a doctoral degree in the field of Geosciences.
- Publications: Minimum three good publication records in SCI journals, with at least one publication listing the candidate as the lead author.
- Age Limit: 35 Years as of 1st April of the year of application. Age relaxation is admissible as per Govt. of India Rules.
Documents regarding thesis submission/doctoral degree must be included in the application.
