Eligibility Details
Educational Qualification
- Essential: Master's degree in Law with specialization in International Law, International Relations, or International Organizations from a recognized university.
- Candidates with M.Phil or Ph.D. in International Law (even without Master's specialization) are also eligible.
- Relevant areas covered include Law of the Sea, Human Rights Law, International Environmental Law, International Criminal Law, International Trade Law.
Experience Requirements
- 15 years of experience as a practicing Advocate in an Indian Court OR dealing with legal matters in Government Law Department OR teaching/research in Law from a recognized university.
- At least 8 years must be in the field of International Law/Relations after acquiring the minimum educational qualification.
Desirable Qualification
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in International Law from a recognized institute.
Age Limit
Maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (09 May 2026).
For Armed Forces Personnel: Ex-servicemen of the rank of Brigadier (or equivalent in Navy/Air Force) in Level 13A, due to retire within one year, with requisite experience, may be considered for deputation/re-employment.
