Eligibility Details

Essential Experience: Varies by post, generally 4 to 10 years post-qualification experience is required. Note: PhD counts as 4 years' experience, MD/MS as 3 years', and MVSc as 2 years' (MPH/M. Tech/ME do not count as experience).

Essential Qualifications (General Breakdown):

  • Scientist-C (Medical): MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC.
  • Scientist-C (Veterinary Posts): B.V. Sc & AH degree recognized by VCI.
  • Scientist-D (Non-Medical): Masters from a recognized University in a subject related to Biomedical Sciences OR Pharm-D degree recognized by UGC/PCI.
  • Scientist-D (Veterinary): B.V. Sc & AH degree recognized by VCI.
  • Scientist-E (Veterinary): MVSc & AH or equivalent degree recognized by VCI OR Ph.D. from a recognized University in a subject related to Biomedical sciences or Veterinary Science.

Application Details

Application Deadline: 22nd December 2025, by 5:30 PM.

Application Method: Online application must be submitted through the prescribed online mode. No offline applications will be accepted.

Application Fee: Rs. 1500/- (non-refundable). SC/ST/Women/PWD/EWS candidates are exempted from the fee.

Required Documents: Candidates must upload scanned, self-attested copies of certificates/documents supporting educational qualifications (Matric onwards), detailed marks, date of birth, category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD), and experience certificates.

Important Conditions

  • Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility conditions on the last date of application submission.
  • Applicants working in Government/PSU/Govt. funded research agencies must submit a “No Objection Certificate” at the time of personal discussion.

Mode of Selection

Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (MCQs) or interview, or both. The CBT will be of qualifying nature, requiring a minimum of 75 percentile.
