    Eligibility Details

    Qualifications and experience must be determined as of January 24, 2026.

    • Essential Qualification: PhD in the relevant discipline for all advertised levels. Candidates with a PhD directly after BTech are eligible if they meet the specified UG criteria (7.5 CGPA or 70% marks).
    • Experience Requirements (as per 7th CPC Pay Levels):
      • Assistant Professor (Grade II) - Level 10 (AGP: Rs. 6,000): No post-PhD experience explicitly required, but requires good quality publications (at least 2 papers in Q1 Journals).
      • Assistant Professor (Grade II) - Level 11 (AGP: Rs. 7,000): 1 year of post-PhD professional experience. Good publications (at least 3 papers in Q1 Journals).
      • Assistant Professor (Grade I) - Level 12 (AGP: Rs. 8,000): 3 years of post-PhD professional experience. Good publications (at least 4 papers in Q1 Journals, minimum 2 from post-PhD work).
      • Associate Professor - Level 13A2 (AGP: Rs. 9,500): 6 years of post-PhD professional experience, including at least 3 years at Assistant Professor level (Pay level-12) or equivalent in repute. Good publications (at least 10 papers in Q1 journals, minimum 4 at Assistant Professor level). Preferably 1 PhD guidance completion.
      • Professor - Level 14A (AGP: Rs. 10,500): 10 years of post-PhD professional experience, including at least 4 years at Associate Professor level (Pay level-13A2) or equivalent. Good publications (at least 15 papers in Q1 journals, minimum 5 at Associate Professor level). At least 2 externally sponsored projects completed.
    • Age Limit (Preferably below):
      • Assistant Professor (Level 10/11/12): 35 years (UR)
      • Associate Professor (Level 13A2): 45 years (UR)
      • Professor (Level 14A): 55 years (UR)

      Age relaxation provided as per Gol norms. 3 years age relaxation for women applicable across all levels.

    • Note on Publications: For CSE/ECE, A* conference proceedings are considered equivalent to Q1 journal publications. Relaxation in Q1 publication requirements may apply for candidates with a good number of projects/patents.

    Required Documents/Submissions:

    • Latest CV including full publication list (with IF, Q1/Q2 status) and PDFs of three best papers.
    • Teaching Plan detailing courses the applicant can teach and long-term development objectives.
    • Research Plan highlighting past, current, and future interests, emphasizing research guidance achievements.
    • Enclosures/supporting documents as separate PDFs.
    • For employed candidates: No Objection Certificate (NOC) or a self-declaration stating it will be provided at the selection stage.

    Application Fee: Non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- payable via SBI Collect. Fee is waived for SC, ST, PwD, and Women candidates.

    Important Conditions

    • Candidates must have a first class in both UG and PG degrees (unless PhD acquired directly after BTech with 7.5 CGPA/70% marks at UG).
    • Higher starting pay may be offered based on recommendations.
    • The Institute is an autonomous body under MoE, and pay fixation follows Institute/GoI norms.
    • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
    • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview/selection process.

    Shortlisted applicants will undergo a selection process comprising:

    1. Teaching Demonstration (chalk and talk on a core course relevant to the applicant's branch/level).
    2. Research presentation using a PPT.
    3. Interview.
