Eligibility Details
I. Special Recruitment Drive (Scheduled Tribes)
- Assistant Superintendent (Stores / Commercial) - 03 Vacancies: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) OR Graduate in any discipline with a Diploma in Commercial / Supply Chain Management/Materials management/Logistics management (or equivalent 01-year Diploma in Material Management). Experience: Minimum 2 Years Post qualification relevant work experience.
- Structural Fitter - 03 Vacancies: ITI & NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in Structural Fitter / Fitter / Fitter General / Sheet Metal Worker trade. Experience: Minimum 02 years' experience in the line.
- Welder - 01 Vacancy: ITI in the trade of Welder. Experience: Minimum 02 years' experience in the line.
- Technical Assistant (Mechanical) - 01 Vacancy: Minimum 03 years full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute/University. Experience: Minimum 02 years of experience in the line.
- Shipwright Fitter - 01 Vacancy: SSC with Training Certificate from Deck / Engine department. Experience: Minimum 02 years' experience in the line/trade from Shipbuilding Industry.
II. Special Recruitment Drive (Other Backward Classes)
- Assistant Superintendent (Finance) - 01 Vacancy: Graduate having passed Intermediate examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost Accountants of India OR MBA Finance. Experience: Minimum 2 years post qualification relevant work experience in Finance function.
- Junior Supervisor (Safety - Mechanical) - 01 Vacancy: Minimum 03 years' full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering AND one-year full time Diploma in Industrial Safety awarded by Board of Technical Education of any State Government / Union territory or CLI, RLI (Ministry of Labour). Experience: Minimum 2 years post qualification relevant work experience.
General Age Criteria: Upper age limits specified in tables (38 years for ST posts, 36 years for OBC posts) are as on 30.11.2025 (Including Age Relaxation). Age relaxation applicable for Ex-Servicemen/Agniveer and PwBD candidates as per Government guidelines. Maximum age after all relaxations should not exceed 56 years.
Note on Qualification: For Technical Assistant (Mechanical) and Junior Supervisor (Mechanical- safety), a Diploma in Mechanical engineering is essential. Candidates with only B.E./B.Tech without a Diploma will not be considered.
Application Details
Application Deadline: 04 February 2026, up to 17.00 hrs.
Application Method: Online applications only via the GSL website (www.goashipyard.in).
Application Fee: ₹ 200/- (Non-Refundable), payable online via SBI e-pay (Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking). Exemptions: ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and internal candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
Required Documents (Scanned copies): Passport size photograph, signature, SSC certificate (for DOB), Educational qualification mark sheets & degree, Caste/Disability/Ex-Serviceman certificate (if applicable), Experience certificates, Aadhar Card.
Important Conditions
- Applications must be submitted strictly through the online system.
- Candidates must declare complete experience from initial appointment up to the cutoff date (30.11.2025).
- Candidates working in Government / PSU/Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channels or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of selection.
- Management reserves the right to fill or not to fill the notified vacancies or increase/reduce the number of vacancies.
- Outstation candidates clearing selection stages may be reimbursed for Sleeper Class rail fare to Goa Shipyard Ltd. upon proof of journey (Hard copy of Tickets). ST candidates are eligible for TA reimbursement upon appearing for the written test.
Mode of Selection
The selection process involves: Written test, Document Verification, and Skill/Trade test.
The Written Test (CBT or PBT) will consist of 25% General Aptitude and 75% subject/trade related questions.
