    Eligibility Details

    Age Limits

    • Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2026.
    • Date of Birth criteria: Not earlier than 02.01.2001 and not later than 01.01.2008.
    • No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is provided.

    Educational Qualification

    • Level-4/Level-5: A University Degree or its equivalent from recognized University.
    • Level-2/Level-3: Passed 12th (Plus-II stage) or its equivalent examination.
    • Level-1: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. (Note: For Technician-III posts under Sports quota, minimum qualification is 10th pass).

    Sports Norms

    Detailed minimum sports performance criteria are specified for Level-4/5, Level-2/3, and Level-1 posts, based on achievements in international, national, Asian, Commonwealth, and university level championships, as well as specific rankings (e.g., in Badminton and Golf). Achievements must generally be earned on or after 01.04.2023 (for Level 1-4/5 norms). Achievements must be from events conducted under the aegis of International/National Sports Federations/Associations recognized by MoYAS at the time of the event.

    Application Details

    • Application Deadline: 09/02/2026 (Closing date and time of Online Applications).
    • Application Method: Strictly ONLINE through the website www.rrcser.co.in.
    • Examination Fees:
      • UR/OBC Candidates: Rs. 500/-
      • SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWDs/Women/Minorities/EBC Candidates: Rs. 250/-
      • Payment must be made online via Internet Banking or Debit/Credit Cards.
    • Documents to be Uploaded: Scanned copies of Photograph, Signature & LTI, proof of DOB, educational qualifications, sports achievements certificates (dated on/after 01.04.2023), and caste/community/EWS/Income certificates as applicable.
    • Two hard copies of the properly filled up application form must be retained by the candidate.

    Important Conditions

    • Selection is based purely on merit derived from Sports Trials performance (40 marks) + Certificate Verification (50 marks for Sports Achievements + 10 marks for Educational Qualification).
    • Minimum qualifying marks out of 100 are 70 (Level 4/5), 65 (Level 2/3), and 60 (Level 1).
    • No reservation for SC/ST/OBC communities; selection is based on overall merit irrespective of community.
    • Selected candidates must pass requisite medical fitness standards and submit a 'Service Bond' requiring 5 years of service with the railway.
    • No TA/DA/Accommodation will be provided for attending trials. Candidates must bring their own kit.

    Mode of Selection

    Selection will be based upon performance in Sports Trials followed by Certificate (Sports & Educational) Verification by a duly constituted Recruitment Committee.
