Job Requirements:
- To assist the Adviser (Transport & Communication), NEC in all matters pertaining to the Transport and Communication Sector, including Road and Bridge schemes/projects.
- To scrutinize and prepare plans and estimates, including fund release for schemes proposed by State Government/NEC.
- To represent NEC in relevant Boards or Meetings as required.
Eligibility Details
The position is open for officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory Administrations or autonomous bodies, statutory organizations, public sector undertakings, or recognized University/research institutions who meet the following criteria:
Method of Recruitment (Deputation including short term contract):
Officers must be:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; OR
- Having rendered five years of service after appointment to the post in Level-12 in the pay matrix (Rs.78800-209200) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; AND
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Master Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or institute.
- Experience: Twelve years' experience in execution or construction of civil works, including hill roads.
Age Limit:
Maximum age limit shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications.

- Major or minor penalty certificate for the last 10 years.
- Cadre clearance certificate.
- Certificate verifying particulars furnished against service records.
- Self-attested copy of certificates of educational qualifications.
Important Conditions
- The terms and conditions of deputation are regulated as per DOPT's OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010.
- Candidates who apply for the post would not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.
