Eligibility Details
The candidate must be an officer under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or recognised research institutions or public sector undertakings or statutory organizations or autonomous bodies, considered for appointment by deputation (including short term contract).
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or institution or equivalent.
- Experience: Three years experience in mechanical repairs, maintenance, installation and commissioning of equipment preferably in mineral processing plants.
Deputation Criteria (Applicable for selection):
- (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- (ii) With four years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in level-8 in the pay matrix (Rs.47,600-1,51,100).
Age Limit: Maximum age limit shall not exceed fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Important Conditions
- Deputation period will initially be for 03 years, extendable based on requirement and NOC from the parent department.
- Departmental officers in the feeder grade who are in direct line of promotion are not eligible for deputation.
- The total period of deputation, including preceding ex-cadre posts, shall ordinarily not exceed three years (Note 2 contradicts this slightly, but the main rule seems to favor 3 years unless otherwise specified by DOPT OM).
- Advance copies are not accepted unless accompanied by all required certificates.
- Candidates applying for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.
