Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Enterprise of the Government of India, is seeking experienced professionals for engagement on a fixed-term contract basis for its ongoing and anticipated projects. The engagement is purely temporary for an initial period of 24 months, extendable up to 3 years cumulatively based on work requirements.

Eligibility Details
Field Engineer (Electrical/Civil)
- Essential Qualification: Full time B.E/B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical/Civil discipline or equivalent discipline from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 55% marks.
- Discipline Equivalence: Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical) for Electrical posts, and Civil for Civil posts.
- Post Qualification Experience: Should have one year post qualification experience of Design/Engineering/Construction/Testing & commissioning, etc. in Rural Electrification (RE)/ Distribution Management System (DMS)/ Sub Transmission (ST)/ Transmission Lines (TLs)/ Sub-Stations (S/S), etc. Experience in PSU /Listed company particularly in power sector shall be preferred.
Field Supervisor (Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Communication)
- Essential Qualification: Full Time Diploma in Electrical/Civil/ Electronics & Communication/ Information Technology or equivalent discipline from a recognized Technical Board / Institute with minimum 55% marks.
- Discipline Equivalence: Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical) for Electrical posts, Civil for Civil posts, and Electronics/Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Electrical Communication/ Telecommunication Engineering for Electronics & Communication posts.
- Post Qualification Experience: Should have one-year post qualification experience of Construction/ Testing & commissioning/ Electrical works, etc. in Rural Electrification (RE)/ Distribution Management System (DMS)/ Sub Transmission (ST)/ Transmission Lines (TLs)/ Sub-stations (S/S), etc. Experience in PSU /Listed company particularly in power sector shall be preferred.
- Important Note for Field Supervisor: Higher technical qualification like B.Tech. / BE / M.Tech. /ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed.
Upper Age Limit (for all Posts)
29 years as on 17.09.2025
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit will be applicable as per Government of India directives for OBC(NCL), SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen/DESM, and Victims of Riots.

Mode of Selection
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Common FTE Written Test-2025 and subsequent interview (for Field Engineer posts). For Field Supervisor posts, selection will be based purely on the merit of the Common FTE Written Test-2025.
