Eligibility Details
Applicants must satisfy the essential educational qualifications, experience, and age criteria as of the closing date of online registration (18.10.2025).
- General Upper Age Limit: 50 years. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (5 years), Government Servants (5 years), and Ex-Servicemen (5 years), subject to specified conditions (e.g., age relaxation for Government Servants is only for regular employees under the Central Government). The upper age limit after relaxation must not exceed 55 years.
- Educational Qualification & Experience: Specific qualifications vary by department (e.g., MD/MS/DM/M.Ch. or equivalent postgraduate qualification, along with required teaching/research experience, usually three years post-qualifying degree, unless specified otherwise for D.M. or M.Ch. degrees with longer duration). Experience must be acquired from an institution recognized by NMC/MCI/DCI or UGC, as applicable.
- DNB Equivalence: Holders of DNB qualifications must provide documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch., generally requiring training in a hospital with 500+ beds or subsequent senior residency/experience.
- Experience Calculation: Experience is counted only after obtaining the required educational qualifications.

Important Conditions

Mode of Selection
Selection involves a two-step process:
- Screening Process (Objective Scoring): Eligible applications (those meeting initial criteria) will be scored based on an objective criteria matrix (Medical Stream criteria provided in Annexure-A, covering Academic, Research, and Teaching components, totaling 75 marks). If more than 10 applications are received for a post, candidates scoring in the top 10 (including ties) based on this score will be shortlisted for the interview.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The final selection will be based on the assessment of the Selection Committee during the interview, not solely on the screening score.
