Recruitment Drive at Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) Secretariat, New Delhi

Additionally, selected officials for vacant posts at ICPs may be posted at various locations including Attari, Jogbani, Raxaul, Agartala, Dawki, Petrapole, Moreh, Rupaidiha, Sabroom, Sutarkandi, Dera Baba Nanak, Srimantpur, Mankachar, Darranga, and Golakganj.
Eligibility Details (Deputation & Short Term Contract)
Eligibility criteria are generally applicable to officers from Central/State Government/UT Administration/Statutory Body/Autonomous Body:
- Director (Level-13): Must hold an analogous post or have five years' regular service in Pay Level 12 equivalent, plus three years' experience in relevant fields (trade, policy, security, planning, etc.). Maximum age limit is 56 years.
- Section Officer (Level-7): Must hold an analogous post or have five years' regular service in Pay Level 6 equivalent, plus three years' experience in policy, planning, HRD, finance, vigilance, etc. Maximum age limit is 56 years.
- Private Secretary (Level-7): Must hold an analogous post or have five years' regular service in Pay Level 6 equivalent, plus five years' experience as Private Secretary in relevant bodies. Maximum age limit is 56 years.
- Assistant (Level-6): Must hold an analogous post or have six years' regular service in Pay Level 5 equivalent, plus three years' experience in administration, HRD, finance, etc. Maximum age limit is 56 years.
- Junior Engineer (Level-6): Must hold an analogous post or have five years' regular service in Pay Level 5 (PWD or equivalent), plus three years' experience in civil/electrical engineering and construction monitoring. Maximum age limit is 56 years.
- Personal Assistant (Level-6): Must hold an analogous post or have six years' regular service in Pay Level 5, or ten years' service as Steno 'D' (Pay Level 4). Must also have five years' experience in secretarial practices, office management, etc. Maximum age limit is 56 years.
- Deputation Period: Ordinarily for an initial period of five years, extendable up to seven years.
- Short Term Contract (If Deputation Fails): For posts Level 7 and below, vacancies can be filled on short-term contract for a maximum of six months at a time, from officers retired from analogous posts below sixty-five years of age.
- Computer Knowledge: Applicants for Level 7 and below posts should have basic working knowledge of MS Office modules, e-office, and email.

Required Documents: Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, Vigilance Clearance/Integrity Certificate, and the application format provided in Annexure-‘B’.
Important Conditions
- The number of vacancies is subject to decrease or increase at the discretion of the Competent Authority, LPAI.
- Appointment on deputation does not bestow any claim for regular appointment in LPAI.
- The deputation is initially for five years, extendable up to seven years.
- LPAI is an eligible office for GPRA only for Central Govt. Employees.
- Terms and conditions of deputation will follow DoP&T O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.06.2010 and amendments.
Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on the applications received through proper channel, subject to consideration of eligibility and fulfillment of all requirements.
