    Eligibility Details

    The eligibility criteria are governed by Recruitment Rules of NITs (2019) and subsequent updates from the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. Applicants are advised to check the Institute website (http://www.svnit.ac.in) for comprehensive details regarding Educational Qualifications, Experience, and specific requirements for each post (including Annexures).

    • Age Limit: Maximum age limit for direct recruits for all posts is 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for OBC (NCL)/SC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India norms. The crucial date for determining the maximum age limit is the last date for online application submission (14.11.2025).
    • Superintendent (Pay Level 06): Essential Qualification is First Class Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institute in any discipline, OR Master's Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade, along with Knowledge of Computer applications (Word processing, Spread Sheet). (75% by Direct Recruitment)
    • Junior Engineer (Civil) (Pay Level 06): Essential Qualification is First Class B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil/Electrical Engineering OR First Class Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering with excellent academic record from a recognized University or Institute. (100% Direct Recruitment)
    • Technical Assistant (Computer Science) (Pay Level 06): Essential Qualification includes First Class or equivalent Grade in B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in relevant subject OR First Class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record OR First Class Bachelor's Degree in Science in IT/CS/IS OR Master's Degree in Science in IT/CS/IS with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade. (75% by Direct Recruitment)

    Application Details

    Deadline: The last date for submission of the online application is 14.11.2025 till 5:00 p.m. The last date for receipt of the hard copy of the signed completed application form at SVNIT Surat is 21.11.2025.

    Method of Application: Candidates must apply ONLINE through the Institute website: http://www.svnit.ac.in. After successful online submission, candidates must download, sign, self-attest necessary documents, and send the hard copy via Speed/Registered Post to the Registrar, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Ichchhanath, Dumas Road, Surat – 395 007, Gujarat.

    Required Documents (Hard Copy Submission): Applicants must send a printout of the online application, proof of fee payment, and one set of self-attested photocopies of all required documents/certificates in original along with the hard copy. Documents include Matriculation, Higher Secondary, Degree/Diploma certificates, Caste/PwD/EWS/OBC certificates (issued as per guidelines), Experience Certificates, and Photo ID.

    Application Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred only) is required for applicants belonging to categories other than SC, ST, PwD, and Female candidates (who are exempted).

    Important Conditions

    • All pages of the application form must be numbered and signed by the candidates.
    • All supporting documents must be self-attested.
    • Applications received after the due date or via any mode other than the specified postal method for the hard copy will be rejected summarily.
    • The Institute reserves the right to vary the number of posts or not fill any/all advertised posts.
    • Experience gained on part-time, daily wages, or as visiting/guest faculty will not count towards valid experience for shortlisting.
    • For government/semi-government employees, an advance copy should be sent, and an NOC/forwarding letter must be produced at the time of the selection process.
