    Details of Position

    The following table details the Pay Scale (as per 7th CPC) for the posts on Direct Recruitment basis, along with other allowances:

    Eligibility Details

    Essential Eligibility Criteria for Professor (Medical Candidates)

    • Medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the IMC Act, 1956 (fulfilling conditions of Section 13(3) if applicable).
    • Postgraduate degree or equivalent in the respective discipline/subject, registered in a State/National Medical Register (except for non-medical teachers).
    • OR M.Ch. (Surgical super-specialties) or D.M. (Medical super-specialties) (2/3/5 years recognized course) or equivalent.
    • Experience (After MD/MS or equivalent): Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience. OR Twelve years experience after M.Ch./D.M. (2/5 years recognized course after MBBS). OR Eleven years experience for candidates possessing a 3 years recognized degree of D.M./M.Ch.

    Essential Qualification for Non-Medical Candidates (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology only)

    • Non-medical graduation, M.Sc. (relevant medical), and PhD qualifications from a recognized Medical College/Institute (regular on-campus course).
    • Experience: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the doctorate degree.

    For Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor: Eligibility criteria (medical qualifications, non-medical qualifications) remain similar but experience requirements are significantly lower (e.g., 10 years for Addl. Prof (General), 6 years for Assoc. Prof (General), 3 years for Asst. Prof (General) after MD/MS).

    DNB Equivalence: Applicants with DNB/Dr NB in super specialties must provide documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch., meeting criteria related to training location (hospital size) or subsequent senior residency.

    Foreign Qualifications: Postgraduate medical qualifications from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand may be considered equivalent if specific completion criteria (CCST/FRCS/FRCP, Residency Certificate, Fellowship completion) are fulfilled. Eligibility for Assistant Professor might require 3 years of special training if qualifications are foreign.

    Age criteria may apply as per policy. Upper Age Limits: Professor/Addl. Professor: Not exceeding 58 years; Associate Professor/Asst. Professor: Not exceeding 50 years (as of the cut-off date).

    Application Details

    Application Method: Online mode only through the web-link/portal available on the AIIMS Raipur website (www.aiimsraipur.edu.in) starting from 06.10.2025.

    Deadline: Applications accepted until further notice. Eligibility is decided based on cut-off dates:

    • 1st Cut-off Date: 5th November 2025
    • 2nd Cut-off Date: 31st January 2026

    Mandatory Follow-up: Candidates must send a duly signed print-out of the online application form along with self-attested supporting documents (qualification, experience, age, category, NOC, etc.) via Speed Post/Registered Post to reach the Recruitment Cell within 07 days from the last date of online application for that round.

    Application Fees (Online Mode Only):

    • General/OBC: Rs. 3,000/-
    • EWS: Rs. 2,400/-
    • SC/ST: Rs. 2,400 (Refundable upon appearing in the interview)
    • PwBD: Exempted

    Important Conditions

    • Only one online application is allowed per candidate per post. The application with the higher Application Number will be considered in case of multiple submissions.
    • Application fees are non-refundable for UR/OBC/EWS candidates.
    • Candidates working in Government Organizations/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must submit an NOC from their current employer.
    • Reservation/relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM as per Govt. of India rules.
    • OBC candidates must provide an OBC (Non Creamy Layer) certificate based on income for FY 2024-25, 2023-24, and 2022-23.
    • EWS candidates must have a valid EWS certificate for 2025-26.
    • The appointee must engage in whole-time appointment at AIIMS Raipur and shall not accept any other assignment or engage in private practice.
    • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the recruitment process/interview.

    Mode of Selection

    Selection will be based on Interviews held at AIIMS Raipur or another designated place/mode. Shortlisting for the interview will be based on educational qualification, relevant experience, caste/category, and other criteria decided by the Director. A screening test may be conducted if applications are numerous. Successful candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks/suitability standard fixed by the Standing Selection Committee in the interview.
