    Details of Position

    The following positions are available on a deputation basis in the Department of Education:

    Name of the Post Pay Level (7th CPC)
    Assistant Professor Grade I Pay level-12 (AGP 8000)
    Associate Professor Pay Level-13A2 (AGP 9500)
    Professor Pay Level-14A (AGP 10500)

    Eligibility Details

    Essential Eligibility Conditions:

    • (i) Postgraduate Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics
    • (ii) M.Ed.
    • (iii) PhD in Education

    Essential Qualifications & Academic Record:

    As per the Recruitment Rules (RR) for Faculty in NITs, as outlined in Schedule 'E' of the National Institute of Technology Calicut Statutes, 2017. Candidates should possess a First Class (at least 6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 or equivalent or 60% aggregate) from Bachelor's degree onwards.

    Age Limit:

    Maximum 50 years as on the opening date of the application portal.

    Other Conditions:

    Deputation will be offered to officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis.

    Period of Deputation:

    The period of deputation will initially be 1 year, extendable up to 3 years.

    Hard Copy Submission Address:

    To The Dean Faculty and Staff Welfare, National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC), NITC Campus P.O, Kozhikode, Kerala - 673601, India. (Must reach on or before 28/02/2026 via Speed Post/Registered Post).

    A recommendation from the Head of the Institute/Director must be enclosed with the hard copy application.

    Important Conditions

    • Institute accommodation may be provided subject to availability and NITC norms.
    • No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.
    • TA/DA for joining the post on deputation shall be admissible as per the Government of India/NITC rules.
    • Mere fulfillment of the required qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview / selection.
