(UPMRC), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh, invites applications for the crucial position of Chief Engineer (Electrical). UPMRC is responsible for implementing and operating Mass Rapid Transit Systems across major cities in Uttar Pradesh, including operational lines in Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Electrical Officers from Government organizations, PSUs, or Government Metro Companies to contribute to advanced metro infrastructure projects on a deputation or absorption basis.

    Eligibility Details

    Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with Rolling Stock and/or Traction background, from Government recognized University/ Institute.

    Eligibility Criteria & Experience (Minimum 17 years post-qualification experience at Group- A Gazetted/Executive Level including services put in on deputation)

    Candidates must be:

    • OR Executives/Officers working or empanelled in SAG Pay scale of Rs 1,44,200-2,18,200 (Revised/level-14)/ Rs. 37400-67000+Grade Pay Rs. 10,000 (Pre-revised) or higher.
    • OR Executives/Officers working or empanelled in Selection Grade Pay scale Rs 1,23,100-2,15,900 (Revised/level-13)/ (Rs. 37400-67000+Grade Pay Rs.8,700/-) (Pre-revised) or higher for at least 03 years, with a total of 17 years of experience as mentioned above.
    • OR Executives/Officers working or empanelled in IDA pay scale of Rs.1,20,000- 2,80,000 (Revised)/Rs.51300 - 73000/- (Pre-revised) or higher with a total of 17 years of experience as mentioned above.
    • OR Executives/Officers working or empanelled in IDA pay scale of Rs. 90,000-2,40,000/-(Revised)/ Rs. 36,600-62,000/- (Pre- Revised) or higher for at least 03 years, with a total of 17 years of experience as mentioned above.

    Essential Work Experience

    • Varied experience of working in Design/Manufacturing/Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Rolling Stock, traction distribution on Railways/ Metros and must be conversant with functioning in computerized environment.

    Desirable Work Experience

    • Experience of working on Electrical and Mechanical services, Metro lifts, escalators, electricity rules & renewable energy will be added advantage.
    • Hands on knowledge on various computer applications relating to the job is desirable.

    Age Limit

    • Maximum 55 years as on the date of notification of vacancy.

    Required Documents/Procedure: Applicants must apply through proper channel requesting their parent organization to forward the application along with NOC, D&AR and Vigilance Clearance, and APAR ratings for the preceding 04 years. Submission of NOC before the interview is mandatory.

    Important Conditions

    • The cutoff date for age & eligibility criteria is the date of notification of vacancy.
    • Experience should preferably be with Railway/Railway CPSEs/PSUs/Government Metro Companies/other Central/State Govt. undertakings.
    • Applicants must be physically and medically fit.
    • For absorption basis candidates, a Surety Bond of Rs. 3,00,000/- for a minimum service period of three years (plus three months prior notice for resignation) is applicable.
    • The selected candidate on absorption will be on probation for a period of two years (including training).

    Mode of Selection

    Eligible candidates will be called for interview at Lucknow. Selection is strictly on an Interview basis. UPMRC reserves the right to shortlist candidates.
