    Eligibility Details

    Professor (Medical)

    • Age Limit: 50 years
    • Qualification: Medical Qualification included in the I, II, or Part II of III schedule of IMC Act of 1956, AND Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) OR M.Ch./D.M.
    • Experience: 14 years teaching/research after MS/MD OR 12 years after M.Ch/D.M. (including at least 3 years at Additional Professor or 6 years at Associate Professor level).
    • Desirable: Research/Published work in indexed journals.

    Additional Professor (Medical)

    • Age Limit: 50 years
    • Qualification: Medical Qualification included in the I, II, or Part II of III schedule of IMC Act of 1956, AND Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) OR M.Ch./D.M.
    • Experience: 10 years teaching/research after MS/MD OR 08 years after M.Ch/D.M. (including at least 4 years at Associate Professor level).
    • Desirable: Research/Published work in indexed journals.

    Assistant Professor (Medical)

    • Age Limit: 45 years
    • Qualification: Medical Qualification included in the I, II, or Part II of III schedule of IMC Act of 1956, AND Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) OR M.Ch./D.M.
    • Experience (General Disciplines): 03 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS.
    • Experience (Superspecialities Disciplines): 01 year after M.Ch./D.M.
    • Desirable: Research/published work in Indexed Journal.

    Note: The cut off date for age, qualification, and experience will be the last date of receipt of applications (31.01.2026). Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per rules.

    Application Details

    Application Deadline: On or before 31.01.2026.

    Application Method: Offline. The duly filled application form along with necessary attested documents must reach the Office of the Director, IHBAS, Dilshad Garden, Delhi-110095.

    Application Fee: Demand Draft of Rs. 2360/- including 18% GST in favour of “Director, IHBAS”. (Exempted for SC/ST and PwD candidates). The fee is non-refundable.

    Required Documents: Duly attested copies of qualification, Diploma/Degree, experience certificates, category certificate (for reservation benefit), mark-sheets/grade/transcripts, and High School certificate for age proof.

    Important Conditions

    • Allowances will be as per Government rules.
    • Applicants currently in service of Central Govt./State Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
    • OBC candidates must submit a valid non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Authority of Govt. of NCT, Delhi, to avail reservation benefit.
