Eligibility Details
For Associate Professor:
- Essential Qualification (i): Doctoral Degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Technology/Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Processing.
- Essential Qualification (ii) OR Master's Degree: Doctoral degree in relevant engineering with 6 years experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist (Level 10/11/12 of 7th CPC) with published work/impact; OR Master Degree in relevant Engineering subject with 10 years experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist (Level 10/11/12 of 7th CPC) with published work/impact.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 47 years on the closing date of advertisement. (No maximum age limit for existing NIFTEM-T employees).
For Assistant Professor:
- Essential Qualification: Masters Degree in the respective specialization as detailed in the table above.
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 32 years, or 35 years in case of Ph.D holders. (No maximum age limit for existing NIFTEM-T employees).
Experience (Associate Professor): Certificate in support of experience must be on Organization's letter head, mentioning date of issue, period of work, pay scale, and job description issued by "Competent Authority".
Time taken for M.Phil./Ph.D.: Shall not be counted as teaching/research experience, unless active service was spent simultaneously with teaching assignments without leave.

- Application Fee: Rs.500/- plus applicable Transaction Charges via SBI Collect available on the Institute's website.
- Fee Exemption: SC/ST, Women, and PwBD candidates are exempted from the application fee.
- Submission: After successful online submission, candidates must download the form and email the soft copies of required documents (including fee receipt) to
recruitment@iifpt.edu.inwithin the due date. Hard copies must reach the Registrar within 7 (or 15) days after the online portal closes, depending on location. - Deadline for Online Application: 30 days from publication in "The Employment News" (Approx. 02.03.2026).
- Required Documents: Fee receipt, self-attested copies of certificates (birth, academic, experience, publications, awards, category proofs), and valid Reservation Certificate (if applicable, issued on or after 01.04.2025 for OBC(NCL) & EWS).
Important Conditions
- Candidates must be a Citizen of India.
- Off-line applications will be summarily rejected.
- Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate online applications and fees.
- Age relaxation applies as per Govt. of India rules for reserved categories (OBC: 3 years, SC/ST: 5 years, PwBD: 5 years or 8/10 years combined). No age relaxation for unreserved vacancies.
- Degree holders from unrecognized institutions will not be considered. Foreign degree holders must provide an Equivalence Certificate by the interview date.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the screening test/interview.
- Selected candidates for Assistant Professor post must pass a screening test followed by an interview. Short-listed candidates for Associate Professor post will be called directly for an interview.
- Selected candidates must execute a bond of Rs. 1,25,000/- and serve a minimum of 4 years.

Associate Professor: Short-listed applicants/candidates will be called directly for a Personal Interview.
