Eligibility Details

Eligibility criteria regarding Educational Qualification and Experience must be met as on the closing date of receipt of online applications, i.e., 05.11.2025. Candidates who have only appeared in the examination for requisite qualification but whose result is not declared by 05.11.2025 are not eligible.

• Nationality/Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India, subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee/Person of Indian Origin migrated from specified countries before 01.01.1962/specified dates, intending permanent settlement in India.
• Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is permissible beyond upper age limit for SC/ST (05 Years), OBC (NCL) (03 Years), PwBD (Unreserved/OBC/SCST: 10/13/15 Years), and Departmental Candidates/Ex-Servicemen as per detailed rules provided in the advertisement.
• Special Note for PwBD Candidates: Candidates claiming reservation/relaxation benefits must possess all requisite certificates in the prescribed format by the closing date (05.11.2025).

Mode of Selection

Selection primarily involves a Stage – I: CBT Examination (150/200/220 questions, 2 hours). Details vary by post:

• For most posts (e.g., Architect, Ministerial, Surveyor): Single Stage Online Examination followed by Interview (qualifying in nature) or just CBT. Selection based on normalized CBT marks + Interview marks (if applicable).
• For Junior Translator (Official Language): 2 Stage Examination (Stage I: CBT - Hindi/English; Stage II: Conventional Translation & Essay).
• For Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Selection based on non-recommended lists from UPSC ESE-2024 qualified candidates.
