Compensation During Training: Basic Pay of ₹ 40,000/- along with extant IDA, HRA, and perks @12% of basic pay. Approximate CTC per annum is Rs. 11.00 lakhs.
Compensation After Training (E-2 Scale): Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Officer at E-2 level in Executive Cadre, with a basic pay scale starting from ₹ 50,000/- (3% - ₹ 1,60,000/- IDA).
Eligibility Details
Essential Qualifications:
- Officer Trainee (Finance): CA / ICWA (CMA) Pass. The date of issuance of the final mark sheet shall be taken as the date of acquiring essential qualification.
- Officer Trainee (Company Secretary): Candidates should be Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). The date of acquiring the Associate Member Certificate shall be taken as the date of acquiring essential qualification.
Age Criteria:
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on 05.11.2025.
- Age Relaxation (Subject to reservation of post): OBC(NCL): 3 years; SC/ST candidates: 5 years; PwBD candidates: 10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC(NCL), & 15 years for SC/ST; Victims of riots: As per Govt. of India directives.

Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond of ₹ 5,00,000/- (General/OBC/EWS) or ₹ 2,50,000/- (SC/ST/PwBD) plus applicable taxes, requiring them to serve for at least three years after completing the training period.

Mode of Selection
The selection process involves:
- Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT): Two sections: Professional Knowledge Test (PKT - 120 Qs) and Executive Aptitude Test (EAT - 50 Qs). Total duration 2 hours. Negative marking: (1/4) mark per wrong answer.
- Qualifying Criteria in CBT: Unreserved/EWS require minimum 40% marks overall, subject to at least 30% in EAT and PKT separately. Reserved categories require minimum 30% marks overall, subject to at least 25% in EAT and PKT separately.
- Shortlisting: Candidates qualified in CBT will be shortlisted category-wise for further stages based on CBT marks.
- Further Stages: Document Verification (DV), Group Discussion (GD), Behavioral Assessment, and Personal Interview (PI).
- Weightage for Final Score: Written Test / CBT (85%), Group Discussion (3%), Personal Interview (12%).
- Qualifying Marks in Interview: Unreserved/EWS: 40%; Reserved vacancy: 30%. GD has no qualifying marks.
- Empanelment: Based on the final score.
- Medical Examination: Subject to being found medically fit as per POWERGRID Norms.
