    Details of Position

    The recruitment is for Group 'C' posts under the Scouts & Guides Quota. Candidates can apply for one or both categories:

    • Category 1: Group 'C' - Level-2 (Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-) with 02 posts, distributed across North Central Railway.
    • Category 2: (Erstwhile) Group-'D' - Level-1 (Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-) with 06 posts, with 02 posts each for Prayagraj, Agra, and Jhansi Divisions.

    Candidates have the option to apply for Pay Matrix Level – 2 (Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-) or Pay Matrix Level - 1 (Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-) or both. If applying for both, they must tick both categories during the application process. Examination fee, if applicable, needs to be paid separately for each category.

    Eligibility Details

    Educational Qualification:

    • For Pay Matrix Level-2 (Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-): Intermediate or equivalent examination passed with 50% aggregate from a recognized Board/University. The 50% marks condition is relaxed for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and those possessing higher qualifications (Graduation/Post Graduation).
    • For Technical Posts: Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
    • For Pay Matrix Level-1 (Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-): 10th pass from any recognized Board or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

    Scouts & Guides Qualification:

    • President's Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any section.
    • Active membership in a Scouts organization for at least 5 years (with Certificate of Activeness as per Annexure ‘G’).
    • Attended two events at National level OR All India Railways' level AND Two events at State level.

    Age Limit:

    • For Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- (Level-02): 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2026 (Born not earlier than 01.01.1996 and not later than 01.01.2008).
    • For Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- (Level-01): 18 to 33 years as on 01.01.2026 (Born not earlier than 01.01.1993 and not later than 01.01.2008).

    Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST (05 years), OBC (03 years), PwBD (10 years), Ex-Servicemen, Serving employees, Widows/Divorced/Judicially separated women, and J&K residents as per policy. Age relaxation for Course Completed Act Apprentices is also provided.

    Examination Fee:

    • General/OBC: Rs. 500/- (Rs. 400/- refundable upon appearing in the written examination).
    • SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Transgender/Women/Minorities/EBC: Rs. 250/- (Refundable upon appearing in the written examination).

    Payment must be made ONLINE using internet banking or debit/credit cards. Candidates are advised to upload scanned copies of photograph (3.5cm x 3.5cm, JPEG, 20-30 Kb) and signature (English/Hindi, JPEG, 10-15 Kb).

    Required Documents for Upload: Proof of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification certificate, Scout & Guide qualification certificate, Active membership certificate, Certificates for participation in events, Caste certificate (if applicable), NOC (for serving employees), Income & Asset Certificate (for EWS).

    Important Conditions

    • Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility norms before applying.
