Details of Position
Western Railway invites ONLINE applications from eligible Scout & Guide candidates for filling up the following Posts against Scout & Guide Quota for the year 2025-2026:

Eligibility Details
Essential Minimum Educational Qualification:
- For Level 2: Passed 12th or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. (50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PWD candidates and those with higher qualifications like Graduate/Post Graduate).
- For Level 1: 10th passed OR ITI OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Scouting and Guiding Qualifications (For Level 2 and Level 1 both):
- A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any Section.
- Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for the last 5 (Five) years (i.e., 2020-21 onwards). The “Certificate of Activeness” should be as per the Annexure 'A' enclosed.
- Should have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railway's level AND Two events at State level.
Age Limit:
- For Level 2: 18 Years to 30 Years (As on 01-01-2026)
- For Level 1: 18 Years to 33 Years (As on 01-01-2026)
Age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST, OBC-Non Creamy Layer, Ex-Servicemen, Persons With Disabilities, and other categories as per Government of India rules.
Application Details
Mode of Application: Online applications are invited through the RRC-WR website.
Application Deadline: 24th October 2025, 18:00 hrs.
Examination Fee:
- For all candidates (except those in sub-para ii): Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) with a provision for refunding Rs. 400/- to eligible candidates who appear in the Written Test.
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability (40% & above)/Women/minorities/Economically Backward Class: Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) with a provision for refunding the same to eligible candidates who appear in the Written Test.

- Scanned copy of President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) certificate.
- Scanned copy of Essential Minimum Prescribed Educational Qualification mark sheet & certificate.
- Scanned copy of Essential Scouts & Guides Qualification certificate.
- Scanned copy of Date of Birth proof.
- Certificates of Activeness (Annexure "A").
- Scanned copy of Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC) or EWS certificate.
- Scanned copies of relevant certificates for age relaxation and fee exemption.
- Scanned Photograph and Signature.
Important Conditions
- Candidates must read all instructions carefully before applying.

- Candidates with no Scouts & Guides qualifications need not apply.
- Those awaiting final examination results for prescribed qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidature is provisional and subject to verification of original documents.

- Candidates are advised to keep their mobile number and email active.
- Requests for change of mobile number and email address will not be entertained.
Mode of Selection
The recruitment process will be based on the Written Test and Document Verification followed by Assessment of Marks for Certificates. Candidates recommended for appointment will have to undergo Medical Examination.
Written Test: Consists of 40 Objective Questions (40 marks) & 1 Essay Type Question (20 marks) related to Scouts and Guides Organization, its activities, and General Knowledge. Duration: 60 Minutes. Negative marking will be applicable.
Marks on Certificates: Maximum 40 marks for participation/service rendered in National and State Events/Rallies, and Specialized Scout/Guides courses.
