Eligibility Details

Technical Assistant (Post Code 01 to 05)

  • Essential Qualification: First Class Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Comp. Sc./IT, Electronics Engineering respectively) from a recognized State Board.
  • Age Limit (as on 31.10.2025): 18 - 35 years (Max 40 for SC/ST, 38 for OBC (NCL) against reserved posts). Age relaxation applicable for PwBD, Central Govt. employees, Widows/Divorcees, and Ex-servicemen as per rules.

Technician-B (Post Code 06 to 12)

  • Essential Qualification: Matric (10th Std. Pass) plus ITI / NTC / NAC in the relevant trade (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Plumber, or Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) from NCVT.
  • Age Limit (as on 31.10.2025): 18 - 35 years. Age relaxation rules apply as detailed above.

Candidates possessing higher qualifications than prescribed may still be called for the test but will not be given any preference/edge.

Application Details

  • Application Mode: Online ONLY via https://www.prl.res.in/OPAR.
  • Application Window: 04.10.2025 (10:00 Hrs.) to 31.10.2025 (24:00 Hrs.).
  • Application Fee (Uniformly paid initially):
    • Technical Assistant (1-5): ₹750/- (₹250/- Non-refundable fee component).
    • Technician-B (6-12): ₹500/- (₹100/- Non-refundable fee component).
  • Fee Refund Policy: Fee-exempted categories (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ExS) get a full refund if they attend the written test. UR/EWS/OBC candidates attending the test get ₹500/- (TA) or ₹400/- (TB) refunded. No refund if the candidate fails to attend the written test.
  • Fee Payment Deadline: 31.10.2025 (Online) or 07.11.2025 (Challan Mode via SBI).
  • Required Documents for Upload: Caste/EWS Certificate (if applicable, 100kb PDF), PwBD Certificate (if applicable, 100kb PDF), Ex-serviceman Discharge Certificate (if applicable, 100kb PDF), scanned color Passport Photograph (100kb JPEG/JPG), and Signature (100kb JPEG/JPG).

Important Conditions

  • All applications must be submitted online; no hard copy submissions will be entertained.
  • Candidates must ensure their registered Email ID and Mobile Number are correct, as all future communications (call letters) will be via email only.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
  • Candidates working in Central/State Govt. or PSU must submit a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) at the time of the Skill Test, applying only with prior intimation to their employer.
  • Final Caste/Category declared in the application form will be considered final.
  • Selected candidates are liable to be posted/transferred anywhere in India, including PRL offices at Udaipur/Mt. Abu.
  • Candidates pursuing courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible for these posts.

Mode of Selection

Selection involves:

  1. Initial screening based on online applications.
  2. Written Test: 1.5 hours, 80 MCQs (+1, -0.33 marking). Conducted in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Abu Road (Rajasthan), and Udaipur (Rajasthan).
  3. Skill Test (Qualifying Nature): Conducted for 100 marks. Candidates shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on Written Test performance (minimum 10 candidates).

Tie-breaking criteria: For TA posts, tie is broken by academic scores of the notified qualification. For TB posts, candidates with a valid NAC score are preferred over those without one, if ITI/NTC/NAC academic scores are tied.
