Eligibility Details
Essential Qualifications & Experience (For Security Officer - Post Code: SEC/2025)
- Essential Qualification: Ex-Servicemen JCO (Subedar or higher rank) OR equivalent rank in other Para-military forces with minimum of 10 years' experience in security.
- Relaxed Experience Criteria: 05 years experience for Short Service Commissioned Officers and incumbents holding the position of Assistant Commandant in CRPF/BSF/ITBP etc. (carrying the pay scale of Rs. 8,000-13,500 Pre-revised).
- Experience for Inspector Rank: 10 years for Inspector from Para-Military Forces.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising all aspects of security measures for the safety of CSIR-CIMFR campus and Units.
- Maintaining records of movement of men and materials, deploying security personnel, handling visitors, monitoring security cameras, and enforcing security rules (must be able to work 24x7 if required).
- Conducting investigations for incidents like theft, pilferage, accident, sabotage, etc., and liaising with local law and order authorities. Knowledge of local language is an added advantage.
- Conversant with the use and maintenance of firearms.
- Conversant in firefighting to combat emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
- The cut-off date for determining age limit/experience/qualifications is the closing date: 02-02-2026 at 5:30 P.M.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved (UR) vacancies is not applicable.
- Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen is available as per Govt. of India rules (Ex-Servicemen (Re-employment in Central Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1979), not applicable to serving personnel of Armed Forces (except those being relieved after earning pension) and Paramilitary Forces.

- Required Documents: Enclose self-attested copies of Matriculation/Age proof, educational qualifications, experience certificates, Service Discharge Certificate (if applicable), Category Certificate (if applicable), and Web Generated E-Receipt slip.
Important Conditions
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Mode of Selection
- Candidates meeting essential qualifications & age will be invited for a Physical and Personality Assessment Test (Qualifying).
- Those qualifying the physical test will be invited for a Written Test.
- The Written Test consists of two papers: Paper-I (OMR/Computer Based Objective, 90 min, No Negative Marking) and Paper-II (Subjective, 2 hours).
- Threshold marks: Paper-I (30%), Paper-II (minimum 35%, to be fixed by SC).
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on performance in Paper-II only.
