    Job Requirements: To assist the Planning Adviser in preparation, formulation of NEC Plans/Programmes, agenda for Council Meetings/Review meetings and to co-ordinate with different Sectoral Advisers in the Council Secretariat; to scrutinize proposals received in respect of Plan Schemes and draft reports relating to the NEC Plan, analysis of Plans and budgets of N.E. States as well as the Central Government Ministries.

    Eligibility Criteria for Deputation:

    Officers working under the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territories:

    • Option 1: Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; OR
    • Option 2: With five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.6500-10,500/-(5th CPC) / PB-2 Rs. 9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4,600/- (6th CPC) corresponding to level 7 of the pay matrix of 7th CPC or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; AND

    Educational Qualifications & Experience:

    • Education: Master's Degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Mathematics or Economics (with Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) from a recognized University or equivalent.
    • Experience: Three years' experience in collection, compilation, analysis, and interpretation of statistical data.

    Age Limit: Maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications.

    Deputation Period: Ordinarily not to exceed three years or till vacation of lien, whichever is earlier.
