    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Field Engineer: Monthly remuneration in the pay band of ₹ 30,000-3%-1,20,000/- with initial basic pay of ₹ 30,000/- plus Industrial DA, HRA, and Perks @ 35% of Basic Pay. Approximate Annual CTC: ₹ 8.9 Lakhs.
    • Field Supervisor: Monthly remuneration in the pay band of ₹ 23,000-3%-1,05,000/- with initial basic pay of ₹ 23,000/- plus Industrial DA, HRA, and Perks @ 35% of Basic Pay. Approximate Annual CTC: ₹ 6.8 Lakhs.
    • For RDSS project, perks are variable and subject to performance criteria.
    • Annual increment at the rate of 3% will be eligible on successful completion of each year of engagement.
    • Other benefits include HRA, reimbursement of mobile call charges, coverage under EPF & EPS, gratuity, leave benefits (Casual, Sick, Earned), medical benefits, and Group Personal Accident Insurance.

    Eligibility Details

    Age Limit: 29 years as on 17.09.2025 (Upper Age Limit)

    Educational Qualification & Experience:

    • Field Engineer (Electrical) (Post ID: 487): Full time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent with minimum 55% marks. Minimum one year post-qualification experience in Design/Engineering/Construction/Testing & commissioning etc. in RE/DMS/ST/TLs/S/S.
    • Field Engineer (Civil) (Post ID: 488): Full time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil discipline or equivalent with minimum 55% marks. Minimum one year post-qualification experience in Design/Engineering/Construction/Testing & commissioning etc. in RE/DMS/ST/TLs/S/S.
    • Field Supervisor (Electrical) (Post ID: 489): Full Time Diploma in Electrical or equivalent discipline with minimum 55% marks. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech./BE/M.Tech./ME is not allowed. Minimum one year post-qualification experience in Construction/Testing & commissioning etc. in RE/DMS/ST/TLs/S/S.
    • Field Supervisor (Civil) (Post ID: 490): Full Time Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 55% marks. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech./BE/M.Tech./ME is not allowed. Minimum one year post-qualification experience in Construction/Testing & commissioning etc. in RE/DMS/ST/TLs/S/S.
    • Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication) (Post ID: 491): Full time Diploma in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology or equivalent discipline with minimum 55% marks. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech./BE/M.Tech./ME is not allowed. Minimum one year post-qualification experience in design/engineering/construction/testing & commissioning/ operation & maintenance of Tele Communication System.

    Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: 3 years for OBC(NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, 10/13/15 years for PwBD, and as per Govt. of India directives for Ex-Servicemen and Victims of Riots.

    Reservation/Relaxation/Concession: As per Government of India directives for OBC(NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM/Victims of Riots.

    Application Details

    Application Fee: ₹ 400/- for Field Engineer, ₹ 300/- for Field Supervisor. SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

    Mode of Application: Online only through the POWERGRID website (https://www.powergrid.in). Candidates must register themselves and fill the application form carefully.

    Documents Required: Recent passport size photograph, Signature, Date of Birth Proof, Qualification Certificates and Mark Sheets, Experience Certificate, Caste/EWS Certificate (if applicable), Disability Certificate (if applicable), No-Objection Certificate from present employer (for Govt./PSU employees).

    Important Conditions

    • Engagement is purely temporary and on contract basis for 24 months or till project completion.
    • Candidates are required to register with National Skills Registry (NSR) and get specific details verified.
    • Police Verification Report / Employee Verification Report is mandatory.
    • The personnel engaged will not be entitled to claim for regular employment.
    • Management reserves the right to alter the recruitment process.
    • Candidates must ensure they meet POWERGRID's health standards.

    Mode of Selection

    The selection process involves:

    • Common FTE Written Test-2025: Conducted on a single day across India. The test comprises Technical Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test. Qualifying marks: 40% for Unreserved/EWS, 30% for reserved categories.
    • Interview: Shortlisted candidates based on written test performance (for Field Engineer) or written test merit (for Field Supervisor) will be called for an interview. Qualifying marks for interview: 40% for Unreserved/EWS, 30% for reserved categories.
    • Final selection will be based on merit in the interview (for Field Engineer) or written test (for Field Supervisor).
