    Eligibility Details

    General Essential Qualification Note: Specific roles like Librarian/Deputy Librarian require a Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks. Many academic posts require clearing the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or possessing a Ph.D. degree awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016. Certain Ph.D. holders registered before July 11, 2009, may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET if specific research conditions are met.

    Librarian (AL-14) Essential Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
    • At least ten years' experience as a Librarian at any level in a University Library or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years' experience as a College Librarian.
    • Evidence of innovative Library Services, including ICT integration.
    • A Ph.D. Degree in relevant field (Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/Archives and Manuscript-Keeping).

    Deputy Librarian (AL-12) Essential Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
    • Eight years' experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
    • Evidence of innovative library service including ICT integration.
    • A Ph.D. Degree in relevant field.

    Assistant Librarian (AL-10) Essential Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or equivalent, with at least 55% marks.
    • A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library.
    • Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET or possess an eligible Ph.D. degree.

    Deputy Finance Officer/Deputy Registrar/Internal Audit Officer (Pay Level-12) Essential Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
    • Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 10 and above with educational administration experience, OR Comparable research experience, OR Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent.
    • Note: CA/CS/ICWA qualifications are considered equivalent to PG Degree for these posts.

    Principal (Pay Level-12) Age Limit & Qualifications:

    • Age Limit: Minimum 35 and maximum 50 years (Relaxable for AMU employees).
    • Master's Degree with at least 50% marks AND Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed.) with at least 50% marks (or integrated degrees).
    • Must be working as Principal in Pay Level 12 OR Vice-Principal for 3 years in Pay Level 10 OR 12 years' regular service as PGT/Lecturer in Pay Level 8.

    Medical Superintendent (Pay Level-12) Essential Qualifications:

    • Post Graduate Medical Degree from a recognized Institution.
    • Ten years Teaching experience as Professor/ Associate Professor in the relevant Departments of Hospital, out of which at least Five years should be as Professor.

    Mode of Selection

    Selection methods vary per post. For some positions, if the number of candidates is unmanageable, a Written Test of 100 Marks may be conducted for shortlisting candidates (1:5 ratio) for the Interview.

    For Librarian roles, recruitment is Direct for a tenure of five years or till attaining age 62, whichever is earlier.
