Eligibility Details
Qualifications vary significantly by post level (AL-14, AL-13A, AL-10, L-6 to L-1). General requirements are detailed below:
- For Level 14 (Chief Scientist/Principal Scientist): Ph.D. in the concerned discipline, minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. experience (or equivalent professional experience), and a strong publication record (minimum 10 peer-reviewed publications, Total Research Score 120).
- For Level 13-A (Sr. Scientist/Professor): Ph.D. Degree, Master's Degree with at least 55% marks, and a minimum of eight years of teaching/research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor, with a minimum of seven peer-reviewed publications and a research score of 75.
- For Level 10 (Scientist/Jr. Breeder/Jr. Agronomist): Master's degree with 55% marks in the concerned subject, plus mandatory qualification in ICAR/UGC/CSIR NET (unless Ph.D. is awarded in accordance with UGC/ICAR standards).
- For Non-Teaching Posts (L-6 to L-1): Requirements range from Graduation/Bachelor's degree (e.g., Assistant, Tech. Asstt.) to High School Pass (e.g., Driver, Peon). Specific experience or competency tests (like typing/driving skills) are required for certain technical/support roles.
Age Limit (For Non-teaching L-6 to L-1): 18-30 years (General); 18-35 years (SC/ST); 18-33 years (OBC); 18-35 years for widows/divorced/separated women (40 years for SC/ST).

- Application Fee: Rs. 1000/- for Gen, EWS, OBC candidates applying for Scientific/Technical & KVK posts (AL14 to AL/L-10). Rs. 500/- for Gen, EWS, OBC candidates applying for Non-teaching posts (L-6 to L-1). No fee for SC, ST, PwBDs, and women candidates.
- Method: Online application through Samarth/CU Chayan portal, followed by submission of a downloaded form with supporting documents.
