Eligibility Details
For Medical Candidates (Senior Resident):
- A Post Graduation Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) or Equivalent in the respective discipline recognized under the Residency Scheme.
- Specific qualifications are applicable for sub-specialties like Hospital Administration (MD in Hospital Administration or DNB), Transfusion Medicine (MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine / Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion), and Trauma & Emergency Medicine (MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine/ Orthopedics/ General Surgery/ Anesthesiology/ General Medicine/ Pediatrics).
- For Dentistry, the required qualification is MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
- DM/MCh/DNB or Equivalent in respective discipline is required for higher specializations under the Residency Scheme.
For Non-Medical Candidates (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Biostatistics):
- M.Sc. / M. biotech/ M.Stat.. Degree in the subject concerned AND PhD in the subject concerned / allied subjects from a recognized University/Institute.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of publishing this notification on the Institute website. Age relaxation applies as per Government rules (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwD (OPH): 10 years).
Experience: The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.

Important Conditions
- All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Kalyani, West Bengal.
- Private practice of any kind is prohibited for the post(s).
- Candidates already in service must produce a No Objection Certificate from their present employer at the time of Interview and must take prior permission before applying.
- The selection will be based solely on performance in the personal interview.
- If the interview is not completed on the stipulated day, candidates may have to attend on the subsequent day.
Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on performance in the personal interview after verification of application and requisite documents. Merit lists (selected and waiting list) will be prepared for all categories based on the personal interview.
