    Details of Position

    The position is to be filled on a deputation basis from eligible officers of other Government/Semi Govt./PSUs or Autonomous Bodies. The actual filling up of the vacancy is subject to the concurrence/approval of the Ministry.

    Eligibility Details

    Qualifications and Experience (General Criteria):

    • A degree from a recognized University.
    • Twelve years of experience in Shipping/Cargo Operations/Railway Transportation in the executive cadre in an Industrial/Commercial Govt. Undertaking.

    Selection Criteria:

    Selection is strictly by Merit. The overall grading in ACR/APAR for the applicant must not be below "Very Good".

    Other Eligibility for Deputation:

    • Officers holding analogous posts or the post of Dy. Traffic Manager and equivalent posts in the respective discipline of Traffic Dept. in the scale of pay of Rs. 60000-180000 (Pre-revised Rs.24900-50500/Rs.13000-18250) with 3 years regular service in the grade will be eligible for deputation.

    Application Details

    Application Deadline: The final date for determining eligibility criteria is 27.03.2026 (closing date of online applications).

    Submission Method: Applications must first be submitted through the “Online Application Portal” (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (http://onlinevacancy.shipmin.nic.in) from 26.02.2026 to 27.03.2026.

    Forwarding Deadline: A print-out of the online application, along with required documents, must reach the Secretary, Mormugao Port Authority, by 13.04.2026 through proper channel.

    Required Documents to be Sent:

    • Copies of educational qualifications and experience (Annexure – I).
    • Undertaking that candidature will not be withdrawn if selected (Annexure – IV).
    • A self-attested recent colour passport size photo.
    • Copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years (2020-21 to 2024-25), attested.
    • Statement showing year-wise availability of ACRs/APARs and grading for the last 5 years.
    • No Objection Certificate from the current organization (Annexure – V).
    • Administrative Clearance (Annexure – II) and Vigilance/Administrative clearance (Annexure – III).
    • Details of any major/minor penalties imposed in the last 10 years.
    • Certificate ensuring veracity of University certificates (Annexure – II).
    • Complete statement of service details (Annexure – VI).
    • Two recent passport size photographs.

    Important Conditions

    • Applications received after 13.04.2026 or not submitted through the OAP will not be considered.
    • If an advance copy is sent, the main application must reach through proper channel within 15 days of the online closing date (i.e., before 13.04.2026).
    • An official withdrawing candidature after selection is liable for debarment for two years from future selection to Dy. HoD level posts in all Major Port Authorities.
    • The selected officer will be appointed on deputation terms governed by Service Rules and Regulations as amended from time to time and terms & conditions prescribed by the Central Government.
